Why I Started This Blog – My Journey into Financial Education

If someone had told me a few years ago that I'd be writing about money—budgeting, saving, investing, and breaking down financial myths—I probably would’ve laughed. Not because I didn’t care about money, but because I didn’t understand it. At least, not in a way that made it feel like I had control.

I started this blog because I know what it feels like to live paycheck to paycheck, to be confused by bank terms, to feel left out when people talk about investments or “financial freedom” like it’s reserved for a special few. I started this blog because I’ve made money mistakes—I’ve learned the hard way, sometimes painfully—but also because I’ve learned lessons I wish someone had shared with me earlier.

The truth is, money affects everything: how we live, the choices we make, the freedom we have, and even how we feel. Yet most of us grow up never really being taught how it works. We’re expected to figure it out as adults—often after we’ve already made serious missteps.

This blog is my response to that gap.

I wanted a space where anyone—student, worker, parent, side hustler—could come and understand money in simple, honest terms. No fancy jargon. No judgement. Just practical advice, real experiences, and tools that actually help. Whether it’s learning how to budget on a small income, avoid debt traps, build credit, or take the first step toward investing, I’m here to share what I know and continue learning with you.

This isn’t just a blog—it’s a journey. Mine, and hopefully yours too.

So if you’ve ever felt confused, stuck, or overwhelmed by money talk, you’re not alone. You’re in the right place.

Let’s learn together.❤
